PopUpSummer! led the concept creation and strategic development for Holocene Chicago, a multi-use, multi-brand retail and entertainment activation in Chicago’s River North shopping district. The company’s strategic direction for the project was divided into three phases: (1) concept development and branding; (2) brand curation; and (3) senior-level operational advising.
For the concept development phase, PopUpSummer! selected and collaborated with Emmy Award-winning creative director David Korins to create the Holocene brand identity. We managed product category experts to help us curate the brand matrix — a mix of beauty, fashion apparel, jewelry, accessories, food & beverage, and fine art. PopUpSummer! led the search for the Holocene Operations Director and team and participated in PR and marketing planning and execution.
Due to COVID-related challenges, the launch of Holocene Chicago has been postponed until further notice.
